THE SENSORS

VISUAL SENSOR

A high resolution (14 megapixel) low distortion visual camera (RGB). At nominal survey altitudes of 122m above the ground, this sensor provides ground resolutions of approximately 3 cm per pixel (Note, top resolution can reach sub 1 cm). Ideal for collecting and re-creating 3D models terrain features.

MULTISPECTRAL SENSORS

Four (4) multispectral sensors are available. They range in the numbers of bands and resolutions topping out under 1cm per pixel.
Multispectral sensors are used widely in:
+ Plant health measurement
+ Water quality assessment
+ Vegetation index calculation
+ Plant counting

Fixed Spectra MS (FSMS)
A lightweight, three channel, imager with medium ground resolution. 3 megapixel image resolution in the near infrared (NIR), red, and green bands. At nominal altitudes (122m) provides ground resolutions of approximately 4.8 cm per pixel.

High Resolution Multispectral imager (HRMS)
For lower altitudes and higher ground resolutions. The HRMS collects Blue, Green and near infrared data at 14megapixels. Ability to collect sub-cm ground resolutions Useful for performing terrain modeling.

Selective Spectra MS for 4 channel or 6 channel
Replaceable filters can be selectively tuned for the application at hand. The 1.3 megapixel imaging sensor is sensitive from approximately 450nm to 1050nm and provides a ground resolution of 6.6cm per pixel at 122m.

THERMAL INFRARED (TIR) SENSORS

For Low Res or for High Res - A microbolometer sensor that collects in the long wave infrared spectrum (7.5 -13.5m). Several variants of this sensor are available, providing varying resolutions between 14cm per pixel and 27cm per pixel at 122m and radiometric calibrations.
Microbolometer thermal sensors are best utilized in:
+ Heat signature detection
+ Livestock detection
+ Surveillance and security
+ Water temperature detection and water source identification
+ Emergency response

LIDAR SENSOR

Short range, 270° scanning LASER rangefinder. Useful in 3D digital surface modeling, stockpile calculation, surface variation detection and flood mapping. Penetrates through vegetation: It can perform plant height measurements by collecting range information from the plant canopy and the ground below (as opposed to the passive optical imagers that provide height data from the canopy).

HYPERSPECTRAL SENSOR

We offer two classes of hyperspectral sensors - a line scanning (push broom) sensor and a planar (snap-shot) sensor. The capabilities for the line scanning sensor will provide at or below 10cm per scan line ground resolution, collecting between 120 and 200 bands with a spectral resolution of 2-7nm. The planar sensor is targeted at approximately 32 bands between 400nm and 1000nm with ground resolutions of 10 - 20cm per pixel.
